The amazing growth of AI, like most transformational technologies, can be both exciting and frightening.
The key rests in trying to bridge these two extreme forms of intelligence, in understanding the human brain and in creating human-like artificial intelligence. And clearly, it can only be the human brain which will give us such inspiration and guidance. Which is why it is imperative to accelerate neuroscience initiatives, hand-in-hand with Artificial Intelligence.
For now, when it comes to understanding emotions, humans are still ahead of the game.
