Arturo Garcia is serving as Chief Automation Officer at Abu Dhabi Terminals (ADT), where he is heading the IT and Operations department of the Khalifa Port Container Terminal (KPCT), which is the premier gateway to Abu Dhabi and an important pillar of the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030. Previously he has also served as Chief Information Officer at ADT as well as KPCT, as well as IT Director, and Operations Control Center Manager. In these capacities he has introduced numerous innovative automated systems and improved key KPI’s (truck turn-around time, average numbers of carriers per crane, 60K man-hour savings in 2 years, IT operating cost decrease by 30% while also decreasing terminal downtime by 70% – contributing to more than $1 Million savings annually). Originally, he had started his servince at TTI Algeciras and Terminales Del Sudeste in Spain.
