Despina is an economist and a passionate marketing and communications professional, with extensive experience and recognition in delivering innovative, business development solutions and organizing high profile conferences and events. From concept, strategy design and research, to content creation, fundraising, production and post-event amplification, her work has covered almost all industries, including shipping, healthcare, energy, retail trade, logistics and agribusiness. She has worked with academics, regional and national governments, representatives of institutional organizations, public entities and private corporations all over the world.

Having organized more than 300 events, in partnership with the Financial Times and more national as well as multinational media, organizations and corporate clients, she has contributed in turning business relationships into vision and lifetime learning experiences.

Despina is the heart of Slide2Open Communications, an international communication, event management and production PowerHouse, which she founded in 2014.
