Pierce Barnett

Pierce Barnett

Student, Aerospace Engineering, San José State University
Member of ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union), Black Student Union, and AIAA (American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics)

Pierce is entering his second year of aerospace engineering and is looking to vastly expand his involvement in the aerospace community at San José State University. Despite pursuing his passion for aerospace, two minors in computer science and business entrepreneurship, while also working part-time, he still delegates time to his love for music and community/political activism.

During the pandemic, Pierce played an active role in supporting his community as a member of Youth4Visions Association while attending online classes as a full-time student and working part-time. Assisting with donation drives and serving meals to the houseless, Pierce looks to bring that same drive to the San José community through his involvement with the ACLU, Black Student Union, and AIAA. Eager to make a difference, Pierce looks to be a role model for his peers and younger generations as he strives to better his community.
